His expertise lies in aligning product innovation, AI integration, and learning with clear commercial outcomes.

At xUnlocked, he oversees product development, technology, and AI-enabled learning strategy, embedding artificial intelligence across content, personalisation, and platform infrastructure to deliver scalable, outcome-driven professional education. His focus is on building high-performance delivery systems that balance learner impact with growth, monetisation, and operational efficiency.

Ciarán has held roles as CTO at busuu, Skimlinks, and Swoon, leading technology strategy through periods of rapid scaling and transformation. At busuu, he helped scale one of the world’s largest language-learning platforms to tens of millions of users worldwide. At Skimlinks, he evolved an industry-defining global publisher monetisation and adtech platform. At Swoon, he built a data-driven direct-to-consumer commerce platform powered by advanced analytics and demand forecasting.

He brings deep expertise in digital transformation, AI integration, platform scalability, technology risk, and data governance, and remains active as a mentor, advisor, and industry speaker. Holder of patents in affiliate marketing, he has received multiple awards for his contributions to technology and startups.
